Do You Know The Difference Between A Windows And Mac OS

There are people who prefer Windows and those who prefer Mac OS, and each system has its advantages. Both are always upgrading their OSes. Lion is Mac’s most up to date operating system and Windows 8 is the next operating system being released by Windows. In this article we offer you a fair comparison of the two biggest operating systems on the planet.

The best choice you can make is probably Windows, if playing games on your computer is what you spend your time doing. If you like to play games, you will find a better selection on Windows than on a Mac. The truth is that a Mac computer today can be run like a PC, when you use a program called Bootcamp on your MAC. For anyone who takes their games seriously, this would be a lot of trouble to go through. And even though Bootcamp is an useful function for running many Windows programs, it may not give you all the speed and power you need for demanding games. Buying a PC made for gaming, though quite expensive, would be your best choice, if you are looking for the best gaming experience. But when it comes to Mac vs. Windows, the latter is definitely the better choice for gamers. Lots of the most popular products made by Apple aren’t actually computers, but are iPods, iPads and iPhones. However, if you have a Mac, it’s easy and convenient to connect these devices to your main computer. Mac users are given free iCloud service access, which makes it ridiculously easy to keep your computer synced with your various i-devices. So fans of downloading content directly to their mobile devices will have an easier time keeping everything synced and transferred to their Mac computers. Of course, this is only a benefit if you like to use Apple’s mobile devices. Windows users, on the other hand, generally have a far more difficult time keeping their computers and their mobile devices synced.

Macs come with their own set of absolute advantages and one of those advantages is the extensive support the company offers. When you buy a Windows based PC, there are varying levels of support, depending on where you bought it and the brand. Still, when you do some research you’ll find out that most of the brands of PCs out there only offer bad or, at best, mediocre levels of customer service. If you want better support, you are going to have to pay for it.

Macintoshes, though, have a much better reputation when it comes to tech support. Not only do you have the ability to call for more support, Apple has lots of repair centers which enable you to simply take your computer in for service rather than having to ship it off somewhere. The above points regarding Windows vs Mac OS are just some of the things you should consider before making a choice. When making the final decision is too tough, it’s a good idea to go visit one of the major computer retailers out there and maybe check out an Apple store if there is one in your local area. It’s easier to come to a final decision when you can check out both types of PC with your own eyes and hands.
